Mark Mullen joined Cozen O'Connor in September 1985 and is a Member in the firm's Subrogation & Recovery Department. He has successfully handled litigation matters throughout the country at trial and on appeal, including the July 1998 scaffolding collapse at the Conde Nast Building in Times Square that paralyzed midtown Manhattan and as trial co-counsel for the devastating fire to the Engine House of the historic Philadelphia Water Works in Philadelphia. Mark has particular expertise in federal court procedure, spoliation issues, and the economic loss doctrine. He also compiles and edits the Subrogation & Recovery Observer, the department’s newsletter.

Mark is a summa cum laude graduate of St. Joseph's University and a cum laude graduate of the Villanova University School of Law, where he served as a note and comment editor of the Villanova Law Review. Following graduation, he spent two years as a law clerk to The Hon. Donald W. VanArtsdalen in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Since 1985, he has handled a wide range of cases in state and federal courts. He has successfully handled cases in more than 15 states with trials and appeals in the state and federal courts of Delaware, Maryland, Ohio, Illinois, Virginia, Vermont, Pennsylvania, New York, and the District of Columbia.

Mark is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the Eastern District of Michigan, the Northern District of New York, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third, Fourth, and Seventh Circuits.

Mark is a frequent lecturer on legal issues with specialization on the topics of federal court practice and procedure and spoliation of evidence. Mark is active in The Children of The Father Foundation, a non-profit Catholic Ministry involved in spiritual and corporal works of mercy.
