Peter A. Lynch joined the firm in December 1988 and is resident in the San Diego office, where he concentrates his practice in representing individuals, companies, and insurers impacted by catastrophes, including subrogation and recovery, environmental matters, contracts, and other civil matters.

Peter is a legal columnist for California Fire & Arson Investigator, published by the California Conference of Arson Investigators and an Internet columnist for interFIRE.

In addition to his frequent lectures to various organizations, Peter has published more than 84 articles on fire investigation and litigation in Claims Magazine, California Lawyer, Best's Review, Fire Engineering, California Fire-Arson Investigator,Los Angeles Daily Journal, Bad Faith Law Report and other publications.

Peter was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his service in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, as the Deputy Rule of Law Officer, II Marine Expeditionary Force Forward, during Operation Iraqi Freedom 2007-2008.

Peter was awarded a Defense Meritorious Service Medal and NATO Medal for his service with the Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom based in Kabul, Afghanistan during 2009-2010.

Peter was also awarded a Pro Bono (CLAY) Award by the California Lawyer for those who "left a lasting impact on the way those who follow them will practice" for his representation of Judy Booher, whose son was tragically killed as a fire fighter. The Brett Alan Laws Act was enacted and signed by the governor to protect emergency response personnel based on Peter’s work.

Peter was awarded the Thomas Campuzano - Member of the Year Award by the California Conference of Arson Investigators for his contributions to the "California Fire-Arson Investigator" publication on breaking legal developments impacting fire investigations.

Peter earned his bachelor of science degree at Illinois State University, where he was named Outstanding Senior, Department of Corrections, and his law degree at Southern Illinois University, where he was named Outstanding Senior, Environmental Law. He is admitted to practice in California.
