Howard D. Maycon is the Managing Partner of the firm's Los Angeles office. He has successfully litigated a wide array of civil cases and focuses his practice in the areas of catastrophic property damage claims, products liability, and commercial and insurance litigation.
Howard is the editor of Cozen O'Connor's
Subrogation & Recovery Law Blog and a member of the firm's subrogation marketing committee. He is also a member of National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP). Howard has written numerous articles and frequently lectures to clients and organizations throughout the country addressing litigation issues.
Howard is a member of Bet Tzedek, one of the nation’s premier legal services organizations which provides free assistance to more than 10,000 people of every racial and religious background. He has provided pro bono assistance to a number of Hurricane Katrina and Rita evacuees who were relocated to Los Angeles.
Howard earned his bachelor of arts degree at the College of William and Mary in 1992, where he was a three year starter on the football team that earned a Lambert Cup Championship in 1990. He earned his law degree at Whittier College of Law in 1996.
Howard is a member of the American, California and Los Angeles County Bar Associations, as well as a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association. He was admitted to practice in California in 1996. In addition to his state court practice, Howard is admitted to practice in the federal courts in the Central, Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of California.
