As a result of the passage of the Affordable Care Act, and the litigation surrounding it, the rules governing the provision of healthcare are changing faster than ever. Cozen O'Connor attorneys will discuss the trend towards pay for value, the impact of recent Supreme Court decisions, the antitrust concerns that arise out of the quest for market share and contractual leverage, and how HIPAA has impacted in unforeseen ways.
Christopher Raphaely, co-chair of Cozen O'Connor's Health Care Practice Group, will be on a panel titled "The Move to Pay for Value Reimbursement" to discuss the healthcare industry's "pay for service" model of reimbursement and the growing dissatisfaction around it.
