Through technology and judicial action, attorneys have been presented with ever-increasing tools to limit discovery costs for their clients. One way to reduce costs associated with an increase in electronic document retention is to minimize the cost to review each document. One such solution is predictive coding, an emerging technology that uses a computer program to identify key documents within a database based on a human reviewer's coding of a small fraction of the documents in that database.
