T. David Higgins, Jr. is the managing partner of the firm's Charlotte office. Former chair of his department's southeastern regions, including the Atlanta and Charlotte offices, David now serves as an at-large chair for the Subrogation & Recovery Department. During his more than 20 years with the firm, he has served on numerous firm committees, including its management committee and marketing committee. Currently he also serves as one of two subrogation department liaisons to the London (U.K.) market.
As a first chair trial attorney, David has represented a host of corporate and commercial clients for issues covering a wide spectrum, including product defects, construction litigation, professional liability/negligence and warranty and contract claims. His practice has taken him throughout the United States and Europe, providing him the opportunity to litigate complex civil cases in practically every state east of the Mississippi river. Now concentrating his efforts in the southeastern United States, he has recovered tens of millions of dollars for his clients through trial victories, arbitration awards and favorable settlements. He has appeared in numerous appellate courts and is a frequent lecturer in both the United States and the United Kingdom on litigation issues.
David earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from West Virginia University in 1982, and 1987, respectively.
