Doing deals is a tricky business. At times it can feel like you are pushing a rock up a hill. But mergers and acquisitions can be enormously beneficial for parties on either side of the deal.
We're told that the recession is over, although sometimes it doesn't feel like it. Unemployment remains high, consumers are fickle, companies are hoarding cash and there is concern regarding the regulatory environment and tax politics. But the business press continues to point to record profits. As we emerge from the recent economic malaise, it may be the perfect time to consider mergers and acquisitions.
