Recent Developments in the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act
The Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (“OCSLA”) governs all offshore operations, which continues to be burgeoning area of the law, as offshore oil and gas rigs continue to expand their reach in U.S. waters. This topic will focus on all recent legal developments concerning the interpretation of this federal statute.

Responding to the Catastrophic Casualty
Within the admiralty bar, it is common for practitioners to be called to respond immediately to maritime casualties. Few of us, however, have experience with the massive casualty, involving numerous deaths and grievous injuries. This session will provide pointers on how to deal with the press, NTSB, U.S. Coast Guard, retaining criminal counsel and preparing for civil litigation.
