Cozen O’Connor Attorneys Lecture For CPCU Society

Wednesday, March 11, 2009

Cozen O’Connor members William F. Knowles and William F. Stewart recently participated in the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Society’s webinar on “Insuring Defective Construction, Including the Impact of the Montrose Endorsement.” Knowles was a presenter, and Stewart served as the program’s moderator. The webinar was geared toward risk managers, agents, brokers, underwriters, claims adjusters, and attorneys, and focused on dealing with loss exposures associated with defective construction. Participants learned to identify defective construction, consider if defective construction is an occurrence, analyze exclusions that might apply, understand endorsements commonly used to address defective construction exposures, identify defense payments trends, and understand the impact of the Trinity Ins. Co. v. Northland Ins. Co. decision.
