Richard Close, a member of Cozen O'Connor's Real Estate Practice Group, discusses the recent sale of Friendly Village, a 19-acre mobile home park in Long Beach, Calif., in the Los Angeles Business Journal. As large parcels become more difficult to come by in Los Angeles, mobile home parks, like Friendly Village, become an affordable alternative for developers. "Decades ago, mobile home communities were developed as temporary uses in the middle of nowhere, but now that nowhere is prime for developers to take advantage of high-value parcels of land," Richard explained.
