David Walton, a member of Cozen O’Connor’s Labor & Employment Department, discusses BYOD policies and offers advice on how to prevent employees from being vulnerable to hackers and bugs. Employees should be told to not use coffee shop or airport Wi-Fi connections, said Dave, explaining that unsecured Wi-Fi connections leave devices vulnerable to hackers. “Some employers give employees hotspots or let them use their phones as hotspots,” he added.
