Blake Rutherford, a member of Cozen O'Connor's Public Strategies, appeared on two segments of “Making Money with Charles Payne” on Fox Business News. During one segment, Blake discussed the Clintons’ position on improving Obamacare and how the position also reflects that of President Obama. “I think the conversation has to be — and it has been throughout this entire campaign — and it’s consistent with the president’s message which is there are things we need to address with Obamacare going forward. Hillary Clinton has been consistent with that position from the very beginning, talking about its positives and recognizing what we need to address as we move forward,” Blake conveyed. He also criticized the Republicans’ inability to produce an alternative to the health care plan. “I think the Republicans’ idea of going back to the old system simply isn’t productive. Americans don’t want that; they didn’t like that old system.” To watch the full clip, click here.
Blake also shared his predication about Mike Pence’s role in the Vice Presidential Debate, stating that the Republican running mate’s evening would go unnoticed, despite performance. “Unfortunately his own worst enemy is going to be Donald Trump, who already said he’s going to spend the entire debate tweeting …Trump’s going to say something ridiculous on Twitter, he does it every day, that’s going to overshadow this debate. And that’s what we’re going to be talking about tomorrow. It will be unfortunate if Mike Pence has a good night because I don’t think it’s what’s going to drive the headlines tomorrow morning if Donald Trump spends his whole night on Twitter,” Blake stated.
