Chanel Lattimer, an associate in Cozen O'Connor's Intellectual Property Department, discusses the potential pitfalls of using any Olympic related material in advertising on Yahoo! Finance. Chanel says that the Olympic Committee is "truly lord of the rings" when it comes to protecting the use of their trademarked properties, including words, images and symbols. Chanel previously discussed the special legislation that grants the Olympic Committee this "monopoly power" over ambush marketing in an earlier blog post on IP Watchdog.
