Amanda K. DiChello Elected as Secretary of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section

Amanda K. DiChello, a member of Cozen O'Connor's Private Client Services Practice Group, has been elected to serve a one-year term as the Secretary of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. The Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association is an association of Real Estate and Estate and Trust attorneys, ranging in experience levels from the most experienced and top attorneys in the Commonwealth to the newest members of the bar, all of whom are interested in sharing and expanding their knowledge about these areas of practice. The Section provides advice and comment to the Pennsylvania legislature on proposed changes to Pennsylvania law associated with real property, probate, and trust-related laws. The Section also produces newsletters, seminars, legislative alerts, and is active in information sharing, to help to keep Section members advised and alerted to the latest practice skills, legislation, and court decisions.

DiChello helps her clients navigate the legal and emotional intricacies that impact the preservation of family and personal wealth through multiple generations. She also advises her clients on legal strategies to address family and monetary problems with an aim towards protecting her clients' assets and minimizing both their legal risks and their tax and other financial liabilities. DiChello is an experienced and savvy advocate for her clients in matters associated with estate, trust, and fiduciary litigation. Her clients include high net worth individuals, beneficiaries, and families; private and charitable foundations; family offices; and individual and corporate fiduciaries. She has served as an expert witness in Pennsylvania courts in areas associated with estate and trust litigation. DiChello serves as an adjunct professor of law at Villanova University School of Law, where she instructs on the subject of wealth and transfer of taxation. DiChello is one of only nine other lawyers in Pennsylvania who is recognized for excellence in and as a leading practitioner in the area of private wealth law by Chambers and Partners within its 2017 High Net Worth Guide.  DiChello was also named a Pennsylvania Lawyer on the Fast Track by the Legal Intelligencer in 2017 and has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star in the area of estates and trusts for the past nine consecutive years.  DiChello earned her undergraduate degree from The Pennsylvania State University and her law degree from the Roger Williams School of Law in Rhode Island, where she graduated with honors. DiChello also holds an LL.M. in tax from the Villanova University School of Law Graduate Tax Program, as well as an LL.M. in trial advocacy from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where she graduated with high honors and was the sole recipient of the faculty award for outstanding achievement in courtroom presentation and performance.
