Jeffrey Greenspan, Subcommittee Chair of News and Development and Web Editor for the Trial Practice Committee for the Section of Litigation of the ABA, authored, "U.S. Supreme Court: Reporting to the SEC Is a Prerequisite for Dodd-Frank’s “Whistleblower” Anti-Retaliation Protection." The United States Supreme Court recently held that the anti-retaliation provision of the 2010 Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank) does not extend to an individual who has not reported a violation of the securities laws to the SEC.
