Qualcomm Incorporated case, an antitrust trial that includes Apple's claims that Qualcomm used a sprawling web of license agreements to keep a stranglehold on the smartphone chip market. David said that unlike the recent bench trial on the Federal Trade Commission’s own antitrust claims against Qualcomm, next week’s proceeding is headed to a jury — which means both companies will be aiming to tell a compelling story through the evidence. "At base, it’s Qualcomm saying there would be no iPhone if it weren’t for our technology, and Apple is saying the expansion of cellphones is due to our innovation that has nothing to do with what Qualcomm enabled,” David explained to Law360.
