PBA Gaming Law Committee Examines Issues of Skill Games vs. Chance

F. Warren Jacoby, a member in the Commercial Litigation Department in the firm’s Philadelphia office, was quoted in the article “PBA Gaming Law Committee Examines Issues of Skill Games vs. Chance” by the Pennsylvania Bar News.

Jacoby discussed the Philadelphia City Council’s ordinance to ban skilled games. Jacoby says, “This is an ordinance that is not sufficiently worded and directed, I think, to escape some of the criticisms that have been made about the regulation of skill games vs. games of chance." This article focuses on the legal issues that have emerged from legal gambling, along with the health of the industry.
