Stephen Pate, of Cozen O'Connor's Global Insurance Department, wrote an article titled, "No Longer Stuck in the Weeds: Marijuana Insurance Moves into the Mainstream" for Business Insurance. The article discusses the reconsideration of the insurability of marijuana-based industries in the United States now that it is legal in 29 states. The article goes further to explain that because marijuana is lawful under State law, it should be insurable.
