Stephen Pate, of Cozen O'Connor's Global Insurance department, wrote an article titled "When LBJ Got His Way: The Making of a Texas Federal Judge, 1959" for the Journal of the Texas Supreme Court Historical Society. The article discusses the usually long process for federal judicial nominees from their initial nomination to the point when they are confirmed by the United State Senate.
