Paul S. Rutter, a member of Cozen O’Connor’s Real Estate Practice Group, discusses important legal issues and considerations for future artistic, cultural, and entertainment projects in the Los Angeles region in The Practical Real Estate Lawyer magazine article. This article was based on a presentation Paul and his colleagues made at the annual American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) conference in October 2017 in Los Angeles. Paul was one of the authors of the article that examined three significant Southern California regional projects, including The Broad Museum, the Los Angeles Arts District, and the Inglewood Stadium (future home of the Rams and Chargers). The article deconstructs why these project work, explains how legal issues were resolved, and provides takeaway lessons for future success.
