What is “Birdnesting” in Legalese? [Martindale-Avvo]

Jennifer Brandt, chair of the firm's Family Law Group, contributed a post to the Martindale-Avvo blog discussing the concept of Birdnesting or Nesting. She writes about it in the context of a child custody matter, where the minor children stay in the family home while the parents take turns going in and out of the home on a scheduled rotation. “Nesting can play a role in getting from point A to B. While it is not ideal for everyone, it certainly is a good mid-step while parents figure out where they ultimately want to be,” explains Jennifer.
