Georgia’s practice primarily focuses on advising insurance industry clients on regulatory, licensing, and corporate matters. She provides advice and counsel to all segments of the insurance industry, including property and casualty, life and health, title, excess and surplus lines insurers, reinsurers long term care, and insurtech companies on a wide variety of issues.

Georgia also works with clients on a broad range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, entity formation, and commercial contracts.

Prior to joining Cozen O’Connor, Georgia gained significant experience at a large Pennsylvania health insurer where she was involved in drafting provider contracts, advising on regulatory matters, and assisting through a market conduct exam. Georgia was previously a member of the insurance regulatory group at another full-service, national law firm in Philadelphia. While there, Georgia was involved in advising insurers on an array of regulatory compliance issues, the launch of new business organization, corporate governance, licensing matters, and provided coverage advice as it relates to business interruption insurance and COVID-19.

Georgia earned her undergraduate degree from Hobart & William Smith Colleges and her law degree from Boston University School of Law.

Cozen O’Connor Serves as U.S. Counsel to the Owners of HEYDUDE® in Definitive Agreement on Its Sale to Crocs, Inc.

Cozen O’Connor acted as lead U.S. counsel to the owners of HEYDUDE®, a privately-owned casual footwear brand, in their definitive agreement to sell the companies comprising the HEYDUDE business to Crocs, Inc. (NASDAQ: CROX) for $2.5 billion. The consideration for the $2.5 billion acquisition will be $2.05 billion in cash and $450 million in Crocs shares.
