Shahrouz is an associate in the firm’s Bankruptcy, Insolvency & Restructuring practice with a focus on litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Shahrouz was an associate with a seven sisters firm where he was part of the emerging and high growth companies practice. There, he advised clients on matters relating to corporate organization, mergers and acquisitions, financings, and venture, private equity, and angel investments. Prior to that, he was a corporate lawyer at another seven sisters firm, where he primarily advised clients on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and cross-border transactions. He also has experience assisting in litigation matters, including the Sears bankruptcy proceedings and a major class action against a prominent automotive manufacturer.
Shahrouz earned his B.A., with honours, from Simon Fraser University, and his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School. While in law school, he was active in Moot Court competitions, including winning first place team and first place oralist awards in 2015, and was a legal intern for the Credit Infrastructure Unit of the World Bank in 2017. He is fluent in Persian, is an avid martial artist, and enjoys reading and writing in his free time.
