Alex has successfully litigated high-stakes disputes in a variety of industries including the health care industry, television broadcasting, construction, food manufacturing, real estate, and trust and estates. In addition to successfully trying cases through trial, Alex regularly helps clients devise solutions to complex disputes. He brings to every client engagement a thoughtful litigation strategy and a combination of business acumen and creativity. Alex has played a key role in myriad high stakes matters, including successfully defending a major corporate trustee in a long-running suit brought by beneficiaries seeking $100 million in surcharge damages and other relief and obtaining dismissal of a multimillion-dollar wrongful death lawsuit brought against a nationwide transportation company.
Prior to joining Cozen O'Connor, Alex spent eight years at a premier full-service law firm helping clients win bet-the-company cases across all industries, particularly contract and intellectual property disputes in the entertainment and media communities. Alex had been named a California Super Lawyer – Rising Star from 2012-2018. Alex earned his law degree from Loyola Law School. In addition to his law degree, Alex received a B.A., cum laude, in communications, law, economics and government and B.S., cum laude, in business administration – finance from American University. Prior to entering the legal field, Alex worked in the food manufacturing industry, as a financial planner, and in the music industry.
