Thomas focuses his practice on intellectual property. He has experience negotiating purchases and sales of intellectual property portfolios and assisting with drafting of agreements related to intellectual property, including inbound and outbound software licenses; drafting website terms and conditions and privacy policies; counseling large and small clients on trademark, copyright, and patent prosecution and enforcement. He has also investigated cases of copyright and trademark infringement on social media platforms and had the infringing content successfully removed.
Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate practicing at a national law firm in their intellectual property and technology group and he was a legal clerk for that firm while in law school. Thomas was also a legal intern for Drexel University’s Office of Technology Commercialization where he assisted with the review and negotiation of agreements related to technologies developed at Drexel University.
Thomas earned his bachelor’s degree from Drexel and his law degree from Drexel University School of Law where he graduated with honors in the intellectual property concentration & pro bono service honors. While in law school, Thomas was the trademarks chairman of the Intellectual Property Society and a member of the IP Transactional Law Team.
