Charles Kline focuses his practice on complex commercial and international litigation. Charles offers more than 40 years of experience in representing clients in jury and non-jury trials in state and federal courts in Florida and other jurisdictions, and conducting arbitrations under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the American Arbitration Association (AAA).
Combining his broad sector knowledge with a deep understanding of the complexities of cross-border litigation, Charles is able to offer extensive and authoritative representation to clients both in the United States and internationally, who are faced with an array of multijurisdictional issues. Representative matters to which he brings insight and hands-on knowledge include: antitrust litigation involving price fixing; attempts to monopolize; price discrimination and unfair trade practices; business tort litigation; RICO and foreign corrupt practices; college and university litigation; constitutional claims against municipal, state and federal agencies; construction litigation and arbitration; corporate and securities litigation; distributorship and dealer litigation; employment discrimination and MBE compliance litigation; environmental and hazardous waste litigation for agricultural and industrial sites; ERISA litigation; fraudulent conveyance litigation in bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy situations; government contract litigation at the local, state, and federal levels; lender liability and money laundering; medical device litigation; negligence and wrongful death claims; patent and trademark cases; product liability suits’ real estate litigation; and trust and estate litigation including will contest and breach of fiduciary duty claims.
Prior to joining the firm, Charles practiced at White & Case for 28 years as a partner and former Miami office managing partner.
Charles received both his bachelor’s and law degree from the University of Miami. He served as counsel for the Directors and Officers Litigation Panel of the American International Group (AIG) from 1998-2017.
