Ryan counsels health care providers on various regulatory issues, including the corporate practice of medicine, telemedicine, state and federal anti-kickback and self-referral laws, restrictive covenants, reimbursement matters, HIPAA, licensing, DEA controlled substance requirements, and antitrust issues related to joint ventures and transactions.

Prior to joining the firm, he was a health care associate at a Florida law firm. While there, he served as the lead associate for transactional and regulatory matters related to a publicly traded national anesthesia service provider, including all acquisitions and joint ventures. He also represented corporations, private equity funds, corporate groups, and family offices in transactions, joint ventures, and affiliations, including private equity-backed entity acquisitions of Medicare Advantage clinic businesses, as well as the sale of interests in a national tele-neurology practice to a publicly traded national health care provider.

Ryan earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. He earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served as assistant to the special projects editors of the Virginia Law & Business Review.
