Sophia Soloff


Sophia works on broad complex commercial litigation with a focus on general commercial matters, including, complex contract disputes, fiduciary duty, financial institution liability, class actions, and antitrust. She has experience drafting and preparing briefs, pleadings, and motions including complaints, answers, discovery requests and responses, motions to dismiss, and arbitration statements of claim; conducting legal research and drafting memoranda; extensive discovery and e-discovery experience including conducting document reviews, drafting review protocols, finalizing productions with document vendors, preparing expert witness reports and preparing witnesses for and second chairing depositions and cross-examinations; and attending court proceeding and hearings.

Prior to joining the firm, Sophia was an associate for a national law firm. Her representative matters include serving as a second chair in the defense of a large and well-known private equity real estate firm in a multi-month arbitration before the American Arbitration Association in New Jersey on claims related to a complex partnership dispute; representing an international premium confectionary brand in multistate class action lawsuits alleging violation of New York, California, and Washington, D.C., consumer protection and trademark laws; representing a major U.S. meat and poultry processor in responding to Department of Justice subpoenas relating to alleged antitrust violations; and representing an individual and child seeking asylum at a hearing before the New York Federal Immigration Court.

Sophia earned her bachelor’s degree, with honors, from the University of Florida. Sophia earned her law degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, as a Cardozo Scholar, earning a full academic scholarship. At Cardozo, she was a staff editor of the Cardozo Arts and Entertainment Law Journal, Vol. 35. While in undergraduate school, Sophia was an intern for the Office of the Public Defender in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and an intern at CBS Paramount Pictures, Entertainment Tonight in New York City. Sophia is in fluent in Spanish.
