The New York Law Journal has chosen Cozen O’Connor member David Shimkin as a “2013 Rising Star.” An esteemed panel of attorneys selected David for the annual list, which honors a select group of attorneys under 50 years of age who have “established records of accomplishment and demonstrated that they are top contributors to the practice of law and to their communities.”

David’s litigation practice includes complex commercial matters, with a focus on representing clients in the hospitality, construction, and real estate fields.  He also handles the defense of cases involving alleged food contamination and toxic exposure. He has briefed more than 40 appeals in the state and federal courts, and has tried numerous cases. David is an adjunct professor at New York Law School, and sits on the board of a major non-profit organization.
