David handles high-value subrogation matters from inception throughout litigation, including trial and appeals, with the aim of meeting his clients’ needs in the most efficient manner possible. For a subrogation case, this means productive investigations, thorough and prompt reporting, comprehensive and creative articulation of liability theories, targeted discovery, and building strong cases grounded in common sense. David is experienced and skilled at handling many matters at once, giving each the individualized attention that is required for successful outcomes. He brings his personality to each matter, using his advocacy skills to achieve results for his clients in an adversarial field – while also building trust and rapport with opposing counsel or adjusters.
David has experience in many areas of litigation, including construction, product liability, personal injury, property damage, and general commercial litigation. He has previously represented clients in a variety of industries, including automotive, tire, industrial equipment manufacturing, insurance, construction, retail, commercial real estate management, technology, banking, and public utilities. David regularly appears in state and federal courts.
Having lived in the Atlanta area for more than 15 years, David is active in his community. He and his wife have three children. In his spare time, David enjoys running (he has completed two Boston Marathons) and reading about history.
After law school, David clerked for the Honorable Emmett Ripley Cox of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He earned his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. While at Washington University, he was the executive articles editor for the Washington University Journal of Law & Policy and received the CALI Award for the highest grades in Torts, Evidence, Antitrust, and Corporations. David earned his B.A. from the University of Arkansas, where he graduated summa cum laude.
