Cozen O’Connor recently announced that member Kevin J. Hughes has been named Vice Chair of the National and International Subrogation and Recovery Department. “Kevin is a skilled attorney who has done an excellent job chairing the Atlantic and Northeast Regional Subrogation practices,” said Thomas A. Decker, President and CEO of Cozen O’Connor. “We are confident that he will bring his legal skills and leadership talent to this new position.”
Resident in the Philadelphia office, Hughes serves on the firm's Board of Directors and will continue to lead the firm’s Philadelphia Subrogation Regional practice. He has successfully litigated and tried cases throughout the United States in both state and federal court, concentrating his practice in the prosecution of property damage claims.
Hughes is a graduate of Villanova University (B.S., 1984; J.D., 1987). He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the New Jersey Supreme Court, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Hughes is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Philadelphia bar associations, as well as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association.
