David M. Bessho's practice focuses on complex civil litigation involving product defects, construction defects, and general tort and contractual liability issues.

David received his Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, as well as his law degree, magna cum laude, from Georgia State University in 1983 and 1996 respectively. While in law school, he was a member of the Georgia State University Law Review editorial board.  He has successfully litigated and tried cases in the state and federal courts throughout the southeastern United States.

David is a retired Army Reserve officer and served with the Army's Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) in Baghdad, Iraq, and various locations in Afghanistan.

Secured a jury verdict in favor of an insurer in a case involving a significant fire at a historic, pre-Civil War building in Mobile, Ala. The insured, a charitable entity which owned the structure, hired a company to refinish and stain a floor and workers left stain-soaked rags in an open trash can, disregarding instructions on a product label warning against spontaneous combustion. Despite the fact that none of the fire investigators found remnants of the trash can or rags, and a local fire department report stated that the cause of the fire was "Undetermined", we put on a simple, common-sense case and the jury awarded 100 percent of the paid loss as well as the full amount requested by the co-plaintiff insured for the diminution in value to the property caused by the fire.
