David Sunshine was quoted in the Reuters Magazine article "Apple vs. Android: A courtroom war of attrition" regarding the on-going Apple trials against rival companies carrying smartphones. Apple claims these smartphones infringed on many of its technology patents.

The next trial set for July against Samsung will focus on the patent that controls how touch-screens distinguish the difference between and respond to one finger or more. Sunshine said that this particular patent exposes the touchstone of how touch-screen devices operate. "They haven't hit the holy grail yet," Sunshine said. "But they've had some victories and they're hoping for that big victory."
