Thomas Wilkinson, a member of Cozen O'Connor's Commercial Litigation department, will be participating in a panel discussion on client engagement letters. Engagement letters are intended to provide clients with information regarding the terms of the lawyer's engagement and may also offer the lawyer an opportunity to limit his/her obligations to the client. Both a legal document and potentially a marketing tool, engagement letters can be fraught with legal, ethical and business issues. The panel will discuss best practices and mistakes to avoid.
