Cybersecurity is in the news every day. We hear and read about so many breaches that we are becoming jaded. But this is dangerous. A lot of cyber-attacks have focused on the retail and financial industries. The transportation industry has not been affected as much, but unfortunately, this is going to change. The transportation industry, particularly the aviation and maritime sectors, are becoming targets for criminal and state-sponsored cybercrime. With the advent of driverless cars, kinetic breaches, and the Internet of Things, plus its prominent role in our critical infrastructure, the transportation industry will become a key target. The industry must be vigilant to protect against these attacks, because unlike the retail and financial industries, with the transportation industry lives and channels of trade are at stake.

The transportation industry faces special vulnerabilities that do not exist in other commonly recognized target industries. During the webinar, you will learn what companies need to do to protect themselves against a cyber-breach. The presenters will provide some baseline steps the transportation industry should be taking to ensure cyber-incident preparedness.

Some of the topics to be covered in the 60-minute webinar include:

  • Practical steps for compliance
  • Creating incident response policies and communication protocols
  • Threat landscape
  • The current legal and legislative landscape
