Gina Maisto Smith, chair of Cozen O'Connor's Institutional Response Group, will be speaking at the 2018 University of North Carolina - UNC System Safety and Security Conference. Gina will be presenting the keynote speech discussing “Creating a Culture of Compliance.” This discussion will explore effective practices to integrate legal and regulatory frameworks, coordinate the institutional response, and build an effective compliance program. By focusing on core elements of policy, personnel, infrastructure, training, and system design, educational institutions can drive timely and efficient coordination of information and personnel. The keynote will explore the benefits of clearly communicated employee responsibilities, structures for centralized processes, documentation, and sustainability.
