Aaron Krauss, a member of Cozen O'Connor's Commercial Litigation Department, will be a keynote speaker at the American Bar Association's program "Practical Skills for New Litigators: Expert Depositions." This day-long program will provide practical skills training and practice tips for taking deposition testimony from experts. Using a hypothetical case and mock discovery materials, participants in this program will take, defend, and observe mock depositions of real experts from Navigant Consulting, under the guidance of experienced trial lawyers who will provide participants with feedback, practical tips and instruction. In the morning sessions, each participant will take one 40-minute deposition and defend another 40-minute deposition of the Navigant expert, get feedback and instruction from the faculty, observe other deposition techniques, styles and strategies, and get additional coaching from the faculty. The afternoon sessions will provide the same format as the morning session, with different faculty members providing the coaching and instruction for the examination of another real expert witness from Navigant.
