Leslie Gomez and Peter Lim will be presenting Title IX training at the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services. This session will explore effective practices to integrate the legal and regulatory framework related to sexual and gender-based harassment and violence, coordinate the institutional response, and build an effective compliance program. Leslie and Peter will explore the intersections between Title IX and Clery; effective practices in coordination, communication and documentation; and, provide a framework for navigating difficult decisions. Leslie and Peter will also discuss the impacts of recent due process court cases, the pending Title IX rulemaking process, and recent Title IX and Clery enforcement actions by the Department of Education.
