Paul Ferland and Jan Inguagiato, Tim Dowden, and Danny Williams of J.S. Held, will present a Cozen O'Connor webinar titled, "A Builder’s Risk Power Hour:  Renewable Energy Projects 2.0" on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.

The number of renewable energy projects being constructed continues to increase, with only increased volume foreseen for the future. As events occur on these projects during construction, builder’s risk policies will respond.

In this 2.0 seminar, the presenters will dive into two case studies of builder’s risk claims at renewable energy projects — a wind farm and a solar farm. The presenters will discuss what is needed to understand how to evaluate the claims, including specific code, environmental and location issues, and delays in start-up that may arise from a construction, forensic accounting, and legal perspective.

The presenters will discuss:

  • The types of renewable energy projects
  • Best practices on handling renewable energy claims
  • Details surrounding issues that are unique to renewable energy losses
