Kyle Farnam and Robert Slavik of Cozen O'Connor, along with Bryan Templeton of Exponent, will present a Cozen O'Connor webinar titled, "Cracking of Plumbing Components & Subrogation of Cracked Plumbing Components" on Thursday, May 20, 2021. This webinar will discuss plumbing failures that are encountered in a subrogation effort including failures in different common plumbing materials including yellow brasses and plastic components. The presenters will discuss dezincification and stress corrosion cracking in yellow brasses – currently one of the most common failure modes in potable water plumbing systems. The webinar will also investigate common failure modes in plastic plumbing components. In both materials systems, the webinar will explain the contributing factors that lead to failure and tie them to the potentially responsible parties. Finally, the webinar will discuss the implications of these various failure modes on subrogation recovery.
