The American Bar Association will present Race, Politics, and Redistricting in a Post-Callais World, a webinar examining the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Louisiana v. Callais and its implications for voting rights and redistricting. The program will explore changes to the application of Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, the future of majority-minority districts, and the competing principles that shape the redistricting process, including partisan fairness, compactness, protecting communities of interest, and competitive districts.
