David Hamilton (Family Law, Philadelphia) will serve as a panelist for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's CLE program, Third Parties in Custody Cases, on November 9, 2026. Third-party custody cases often present complex questions before the merits of a matter are reached. This program will provide practical guidance on standing and jurisdictional considerations, parental presumptions, best interest analyses, significant recent decisions, issues involving grandparents and other non-parent caregivers, guardians ad litem and attorneys for children, and emerging trends and potential legislative changes. Participants will gain a stronger framework for identifying issues, advising clients, and navigating sensitive third-party custody disputes.
Jennifer A. Brandt (Family Law, Philadelphia) serves as the course planner for this session.
