Cozen O’Connor member Sean Carter has been named a 2008 Lawyer on the Fast Track by American Lawyer Media, appearing in The Legal Intelligencer and Pennsylvania Law Weekly. Carter is one of 35 Pennsylvania attorneys selected for this honor, based on his ability to develop new business, his bar and other legal association involvement, and his public service and pro bono efforts.
Resident in the Philadelphia office, Carter concentrates his practice in commercial and mass tort litigation and appellate practice, with a particular focus on cases involving claims under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act and Anti-Terrorism Act. Carter is a co-chair of the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee in the multi-district litigation proceeding In Re: Terrorist Attacks on September 11, 2001. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and has been named a Pennsylvania “Rising Star” by Law & Politics.
Carter is a graduate of the College of William and Mary (B.B.A., 1993) and Villanova University School of Law (J.D., 1996), where he was a member of the Villanova Law Review. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
