Wednesday, October 29, 2008

Cozen O’Connor has been ranked as the No. 1 firm for summer associates in Philadelphia and the No. 2 firm nationwide in the 2008 American Lawyer Summer Associate Survey. Since 2003, the firm has consistently scored high marks, ranking in the top five in the nation four times. Cozen O’Connor’s consistent high ranking in this survey demonstrates the firm’s commitment to its summer program and to the mentoring and guidance of its young lawyers.

The American Lawyer conducted this survey of summer associates at 162 firms from early June to mid-August. Across the country, nearly 8,000 members of the classes of 2009 and 2010 took the survey, rating their recent summer experiences on a range of criteria, including workload and firm culture. Cozen O’Connor’s summer associates gave the firm high marks in all categories, and gave a perfect score of 5 points in 12 of the categories, including: how interesting the work is, the amount of "real" work assigned, the quality of the training and guidance they received, and the overall rating as a place to work.

"We pride ourselves on running a summer program that gives our summer associates a real appreciation for the work they will do after graduation, with meaningful feedback and an opportunity to get to know lawyers from across the firm,” said Thomas A. Decker, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cozen O’Connor. “Our summer associates consistently perform well both in the summer program and when they join us after graduation, and the firm has a strong commitment to continuing to add excellent lawyers through the summer program.”
