In a major expansion of its New York presence, the law firm of Cozen O'Connor announced that 27 attorneys are joining the firm from Wolf Block. With this addition, Cozen O'Connor, one of the 100 largest law firms in the United States, will have 89 lawyers in New York City.
The joining attorneys represent a full range of clients in matters of intellectual property, private client services, real estate, land use, structured finance, infrastructure, corporate securities, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, communications, government relations and litigation. Among them are Judith Siegel-Baum and Herbert Fixler of the private client services group, intellectual property lawyers Martin Raskin and Joshua Raskin, former New York City Council member Kenneth Fisher, Stuart Shorenstein, who will lead the Cozen O'Connor government relations and communications practice in New York, and Abby Wenzel, who chaired Wolf Block's structured finance group and who will be the managing partner of Cozen O'Connor's midtown office.

WolfBlock partners recently voted to dissolve the 106 year-old firm. On March 27, Cozen O'Connor announced that 30 WolfBlock attorneys from were joining the firm, mainly in Philadelphia. That group included 11 attorneys from the private client services group, including chair Rob Friedman, and 15 from the real estate department, including chair Herman Fala. The total number of Wolf Block lawyers who have come on board since the firm voted to dissolve is 65.
