Thursday, July 9, 2009

Cozen O’Connor has been named to the Honor Roll of the Commission on Women in the Profession, in recognition of its commitment to welcoming and advancing female professionals. The honor roll recognizes legal organizations that institute programs and initiatives that help female attorneys develop professionally, such as formal mentoring, the development programs, and back-up childcare. It is the commission’s hope that highlighting successful programs will inspire other legal organizations to implement similar programs to support career advancement programs to promote and retain women attorneys.

Cozen O'Connor's Women's Initiative is dedicated to addressing the unique legal needs of female business owners and executives, supporting career advancement programs and charitable organizations that further women's causes. Its mission is accomplished through the development of mentoring programs, partnering with the community on issues that are important to women, creating a forum for the exchange and expression of ideas, and recognizing the achievements of women at Cozen O’Connor. The Women's Initiative hosts networking events featuring female leaders in the community who can help foster the personal and professional growth of the firm’s female attorneys.
