Cozen O’Connor was ranked ninth of the 137 law firms from across the country included in the American Lawyer Associates Survey 2010, which measures the job satisfaction of third-, fourth- and fifth-year associates. The firm placed number one out of Philadelphia firms and fourth out of fellow AmLaw 100 firms.

Cozen O’Connor was given a perfect score of 5.00 by associates for opportunities to work with partners and did very well in other important categories such as associate relations (4.64), collegiality (4.57), quality of work assigned (4.57), level of responsibility (4.50), and family-friendliness (4.29).

“Helping develop the next generation of attorneys here is a top priority for us,” said Tad Decker, President and CEO of Cozen O’Connor. “We’ve identified several areas of core competency that we focus on through formal and informal training programs. I also credit the collegial culture of the firm and the many members who share their time and knowledge freely.”

The American Lawyer Associates Survey asks respondents to grade their firm on a variety of factors, including relations with partners and other associates, the interest and satisfaction level of the work, training and guidance, policy on billable hours, management’s openness about firm strategies and partnership chances, the firm's attitude toward pro bono work, compensation and benefits, and the respondents’ inclination to stay at their firm for at least two more years.
