Lynnette Espy, an associate of Cozen O’Connor’s Atlanta office, was elected president-elect of the Gate City Bar Association. Established in 1948, the Gate City Bar Association is the oldest African-American Bar Association in the state of Georgia. Espy currently serves as vice-president to the organization and her presidency will begin in January of 2013.

Espy joined Cozen O’Connor in March 2007 as an associate in the Commercial Litigation Department. In 2011, she moved to the Global Insurance Practice Group. While she still handles commercial litigation, including matters pertaining to products liability, Espy focuses her practice on litigating matters pertaining to the health, life, accident, and disability insurance industries.

Espy graduated cum laude in economics from Spelman College and earned her law degree from the University of Maryland. She is admitted to practice in Georgia.

Established in 1948, the Gate City Bar Association is the oldest African American Bar Association in the state of Georgia.
