Christopher Raphaely, co-chair of the firm's Health Law Practice, discussed the Affordable Care Act, ACOs and other issues facing in house counsel working in the health care industry with Jeff Blumenthal of the Philadelphia Business Journal. Raphaely, who recently joined the firm from Jefferson Health Systems, notes that in-house counsel are expected to do more significant legal work themselves. He also notes that major issues in house counsel will face in the coming years will be billing and getting paid for services and data and private security, particularly as more organizations move to ACOs.
