Mark Alderman, a Democratic strategist and chair of Cozen O'Connor Public Strategies, appeared on Fox News' "Making Money with Charles Payne" to discuss the first presidential debate. In assessing the candidates’ performance, Mark said, “There was one commander-in-chief on that stage, and that was Hillary Clinton. We all know that she won that debate. What we don’t know is what it will mean. This is a close election, and the electorate is divided. I think she moved a few people from the Gary Johnson and undecided camps to her. But, the second debate will matter and so will the third. This is going all the way to November 8th.” Mark also acknowledged that Hillary Clinton was not confronted during the first debate about several prominent controversies surrounding her candidacy, saying, “We all know that during the second debate she will have to address those issues, and I am confident that she can do it.”
